Solaria Labs is the innovation lab and product development team for Liberty Mutual Insurance. The lab is responsible for ideation, concept validation, and product development for the Liberty Mutual company. One of the many startups, patents, and curated products that came out of this lab is a company called Gigup.

Gigup is responsible for connecting people in the gig economy, one of the fastest growing and hottest sectors of business today, with companies looking for qualified “giggers.” Through user testing, user interviews, market research, qualitative and quantitive analysis, IA exercises, ideation sessions, wireframes, comps, and UI design, the product gradually increased engagement, successfully positioned itself in the market, and continues to grow at a week by week basis.

Gigup is a testament to how structured and well-defined design can push a product from good to great.
